Meet the Team

Ashley Davies
Stage Manager
Ashley is very excited to be a part of Echoes and is very excited for her first Fringe Festival. Ashley has a B.A. in Theater Performance from American University. Previous stage management credits include The Nutcracker with Virginia Regional Ballet and William and Mary and Don Giovanni with the Virginia Opera. Previous performance credits include the Vagina Monologues with Keegan Theater and the Survivant Organization.

Carl Long
Fight Choreographer
Carl Brandt Long is a local actor, fight choreographer, and director. An Advanced Actor Combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors since 2008, Carl has choreographed fights for over thirty productions in the DC area. His fight choreography with McLean Community Players earned a WATCH award and second nomination in 2013. Carl is a founder of and the resident fight director for Grain of Sand Theatre.

Joe Miller
Lighting Designer
Joe Miller is a junior at George Mason University and is thrilled to be involved with Echoes. Past technical credits include American Idiot, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, and Spring Awakening with Little Butterfly Theater Company, Cloud 9 with the Mason Players, and Harvey at 1st Stage in Tyson's. Joe is currently the Lighting Designer for The Pillow Man debuting this Fall with Mason Players and in the meantime working as a freelance designer.

Brianna Jackson
Graphic Designer
Brianna is a talented artist who explores traditional sketching, painting and sculpture. She also is skilled in both 2D and 3D graphic design and has developed artwork for numerous theater productions. In 2012, she was accepted and attended the Virginia Summer Residential Governor’s School for Visual Arts. Brianna currently is a senior at VCU where she is studying communication arts and psychology.

Alessandro Gaiarin
Sound Designer
Alessandro Gaiarin is a technical theater and sound engineering student at George Mason University. He currently works as head sound engineer at the NOVA Ernst Theater. GMU: Threepenny Opera, sound design; Middletown, sound design; Peter Pan and the Boy Who Hated Mothers, set design. Professional work: Dark Times at Grimesville High (Cap. Fringe), Stage manager/sound designer; Who F****** Cares, technical director.

Khaya Fraites
Photography & Video
Khaya Fraites is a Junior theatre major at George Mason University with a concentration in performance. She is also the Vice President of the Iota chapter of the professional, cinematic arts fraternity Delta Kappa Alpha. Khaya has worked on a number of student films doing costumes, makeup, and acting. She has also done event photography for the Mason Players as well as several Mason Improv events. She also does headshots and graduation photos.
